So this collection of our favourite vegetarian pie recipes feels like the perfect thing to be publishing at this time of year. Plus, there are just so many good options when it comes to pie. To cover them all, we’ve divided this list up into sweet vegetarian pie recipes and savory vegetarian pie recipes. For sweet pies, there is everything from traditional apple pie and pecan pie to a very contemporary recipe for a chocolate swirl pumpkin pie. Beware the crust!

Before you go digging into these delicious vegetarian pies, make sure to pay attention to what’s in the crust recipe (or the store bought crust, no judgement)! It can be difficult to find vegan pie crusts, since most have butter in them. And it’s even harder to find gluten-free pie crusts. In fact, if you’re vegan or gluten-free, it’s probably best to make your own pie crusts. I know making pastry can be daunting but we have full confidence in the recipes below.
