Avocado citrus salad with feta – it doesn’t get feta than this!

The citrus in this citrus salad recipe is grapefruit and orange. Oranges are a pretty awesome fruit – they’re loaded with vitamin C, have anti-inflammatory properties and help your body to absorb iron, among other things. An orange salad is a more inventive way to get all that orangey good stuff into you! Grapefruit isn’t looking too shabby either! It is also super high in vitamin C and a few other important antioxidants and may even help prevent diabetes by preventing insulin resistance. Other key ingredients are spinach, feta and of course, the mighty avocado. Spinach is famously fantastic – a huge source of iron, vitamin K and magnesium. Feta contains higher levels of calcium than most cheeses as well as plenty of probiotics. And avocados? Well, we must back avocados because we have published a whole article on them, and more specifically, their possible weight loss benefits. We should really call this an orange grapefruit spinach avocado feta salad – so everyone knows immediately how many healthy ingredients it contains! But that’s a big long winded so we’ll stick to the basics.
